The transparent trend is one in which I was excited to see flourish, but I did question it's longevity. I remember wearing translucent pieces as a unaware 10 year old and have forever engrained a sense of fondness for this highly wearing and transferable material.
From Jellies sandals to Prada heels, the clear craze is live and kicking and seems to be maintaining it's popularity. As I recall it was way back in 2010 that the see-through rage started to brandish and we are still happily seeing perspex accessories in present day collections.
Of course this look isn't for everyone and some would argue this trend hasn't stood the test of time, but for me it will always be a lovable look that can be worn day or night, head or toe. I am of course a fan due to the minimalist nature of the textile and the fact that it's only a hardware store away!

I recently DIYd a transparent clutch and love it, especially for its simplicity! I agree that the trend is not for everyone, but maybe to some of us that's even more appealing! www.moiminnie.blogspot.com x
ReplyDeleteRight now I am a huge fan of all things transparent- I think perspex works best when it's utilized in it's most basic form (i.e. clear and as a lucite block heel, or basic cuff), or with other organic materials (i.e. wood or metal).
